What is an Ethernet Adapter?

Ethernet adapters, or network cards, are computer peripheral devices used to exchange information over a system. Ethernet plugs allow customers to discuss information files and publishing abilities over a system at high exchanges rates which range from about 10mps (megabytes per second) to 100mps.
